FAQs
Can I use these candles inside my house?
No, these candles are strictly for outdoor use to ensure safety and proper ventilation.
How long does each candle last?
Each candle provides up to 12 hours of burn time when used according to instructions.
Are the tins reusable?
Yes, once the wax is fully consumed, the metal tins can be cleaned out and repurposed for storing small items.
What should I do if the tin gets too hot?
Always place the tin on a heat-resistant surface. If the tin becomes excessively hot, extinguish the flame immediately and allow it to cool.
Will these work in very windy conditions?
High winds will likely extinguish the flame or cause the candle to burn unevenly; try to place them in a sheltered spot.
Is the scent safe for pets?
While the scent is standard for citronella products, it is recommended to keep pets away from the immediate vicinity of burning candles to prevent accidental ingestion or irritation.
Troubleshooting
Candle is tunneling (burning straight down the middle)
Ensure you burn the candle long enough during the first use to allow the melted wax pool to reach the edges of the tin.
Wick is too short to light
Carefully remove a small amount of solid wax from around the base of the wick using a non-metallic tool to expose more of the string.
Smoke or soot production is high
Extinguish the candle and trim the wick to 5mm; ensure it is not being used in a high-draft area.
