Fuchs Silkolene Renolit Red Rubber Compatible Grease - 500g - Brake/Clutch

No, Fuchs Silkolene Renolit Red Rubber Compatible Grease is specifically formulated for hydraulic brake and clutch rubber components. It is not suitable for wheel bearings or general-purpose lubrication.

It is formulated with prime vegetable oils and a special non-soap thickener that prevents it from causing hardening or swelling of rubber O-rings and seals, unlike many petroleum-based greases.

Apply a thin, even coat to the rubber components. Excessive amounts are not necessary and can potentially lead to issues or contamination.

The red dye is included for identification purposes, allowing users to easily distinguish it from other lubricants and confirm its specific application.

When stored correctly in its sealed container, the grease is designed to maintain its consistency and properties for an extended period. However, exposure to air, moisture, and extreme temperatures can accelerate degradation.

It is designed to be compatible with most seals used in automotive brake assemblies. Always refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific fluid and lubricant recommendations.

This may indicate over-application or contamination. Wipe away excess grease and ensure the seal is compatible. It's best to clean the seal and reapply a thin, even coat.

While Renolit Red is designed to be compatible, contamination of brake fluid can occur from other sources. Ensure no other lubricants or substances have entered the brake system. Flush and replace brake fluid if contamination is suspected.

While designed for high temperatures, extreme cold can affect consistency. Ensure a thin layer is applied; excessive amounts may appear stiff. The grease is formulated to remain effective within typical operating ranges.
