Full details

This re-release version of the Super Astute 2WD buggy assembly kit features updates while keeping largely to the design of the original released in 1991. It features a 2.5mm thickness FRP chassis with low center of gravity, plus 4-wheel double wishbone suspension employing CVA oil dampers, while metal bearings in suspension and steering linkage give sharp steering response. The built-in TTC (Tamiya Traction Control) system protects gears from impacts and gives stable drive, even on low-grip surfaces, allowing full enjoyment of the off-road. An efficient 0.5 module gear is included. High-traction front rib-spike and rear square spike tires provide superb response and awesome cornering. The model corresponds to a large part of the first version and has only been revised in a few places. Highlight is the Tamiya friction clutch, which has been modernized.
