Product Information

Full details

The Woof Wear UV Nose Protector is an essential accessory for horse owners looking to provide extra facial protection for their equines during sunny months. Designed for horses sensitive to sunlight, this protector attaches seamlessly to existing Woof Wear UV Fly Masks to block up to 60% of harmful UVA and UVB rays. While it provides excellent coverage and comfort through its ergonomic 3D spacer fabric, users should note that the fly mask must be purchased separately and it functions best as a supplemental tool alongside equine-safe sunblock.

FAQs

Does this product come with the fly mask?

No, the Woof Wear UV Nose Protector is a standalone attachment and does not include the fly mask.

Is this product effective for all horses?

It is highly effective for horses with sensitive skin or white facial markings, though individual comfort may vary.

Can I wash this in a machine?

Hand washing is recommended to maintain the integrity of the 3D fabric and the attachment points.

How do I choose the right size?

Match the size of the nose protector to the size of your existing Woof Wear UV Fly Mask (e.g., a Large mask requires a Large protector).

Should I still use sunblock?

Yes, we recommend using this in conjunction with horse-friendly sunblock for optimal protection, especially in high-UV environments.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, align the hook and loop fasteners on the nose protector with the corresponding points on your Woof Wear UV Fly Mask. Ensure the padded edge is flush against the horse's skin to prevent potential rubbing. Compatibility is limited to Woof Wear brand UV Fly Masks. For maintenance, hand wash the protector in cool water with mild, horse-safe detergent after heavy use to remove dirt and sweat, then allow it to air dry completely. Regularly inspect the hook and loop fasteners for debris to maintain a secure bond.
