FAQs
What size U-bolts do I need for this bracket?
The bracket is designed to accommodate M10 U-bolts. You will need to ensure the U-bolt size matches the diameter of your trailer's frame and that the spacing of the U-bolt legs fits the elongated mounting holes on the bracket (50mm to 80mm center-to-center).
Is the roller available separately?
Yes, the rubber keel roller and the steel bracket are also available for individual purchase in our shop.
What is the difference between this rubber roller and a plastic one?
The heavy-duty rubber roller absorbs impacts far better than plastic rollers, providing increased protection for your boat's hull and a smoother experience during loading and unloading.
Can this roller be used for heavy boats?
This is a large, heavy-duty roller designed for significant loads. However, always ensure it is correctly installed and suitable for the specific weight and hull shape of your vessel.
How do I clean the roller and bracket?
Rinse with fresh water after use, especially in saltwater environments. Periodically clean with a damp cloth or a mild detergent to remove dirt and grime.
What are the exact dimensions of the roller?
The roller has a 75mm diameter at its widest point, a total width of 200mm, and an internal bore size of 19mm.
What are the exact dimensions of the bracket?
The bracket has a total width of 220mm and a spindle diameter of 19mm. It features M10 elongated mounting holes suitable for hole centers from 50mm to 80mm.
Troubleshooting
Roller doesn't fit spindle.
Ensure the roller's internal bore size (19mm) matches the trailer's spindle diameter. Check if debris is obstructing the bore.
Bracket is loose after installation.
Verify that the correct size U-bolts are used and tightened securely. Ensure the mounting hole centers on the trailer frame are within the 50mm to 80mm range.
Rubber roller showing signs of premature wear.
Ensure the roller is appropriate for the weight of the vessel. Avoid dragging the hull across the roller unnecessarily during loading/unloading. Clean regularly to remove abrasive materials.
Bracket shows signs of rust.
The bracket is plated for corrosion resistance. If rust appears, clean the area and apply a corrosion inhibitor or marine-grade paint. Ensure regular rinsing with fresh water after saltwater use.
