When transitioning your dog to Royal Canin Medium Ageing 10+, it's important to do so gradually to avoid digestive upset. Follow these steps:
- Day 1-2: Mix 25% new food with 75% old food.
- Day 3-4: Mix 50% new food with 50% old food.
- Day 5-6: Mix 75% new food with 25% old food.
- Day 7 onwards: Your dog can now be fed 100% Royal Canin Medium Ageing 10+.
Always ensure fresh, clean water is available at all times. Refer to the feeding guide on the product packaging for specific daily portion recommendations based on your dog's weight and activity level.
Compatibility
This food is specifically formulated for:
- Age: Medium-sized dogs aged 10 years and older.
- Weight: Medium-sized dogs weighing between 11kg and 25kg.
It is not recommended for younger dogs or senior dogs outside of this specific weight range, as their nutritional needs will differ. Royal Canin offers other specialized formulas for different ages and sizes.
Care: Storage and Mixed Feeding
- Storage: Store the food in a cool, dry place. For optimal freshness and to prevent pest infestation, keep the bag tightly sealed or transfer the kibble to an airtight container after opening.
- Mixed Feeding: While this is a complete dry food, mixed feeding with Royal Canin wet food can enhance palatability and increase your dog's hydration. This can be particularly beneficial for senior dogs who may drink less water. When mixed feeding, adjust the portion sizes of both dry and wet food to maintain a balanced diet and prevent overfeeding.
