Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Lay out your weed control membrane in the desired location.
- Fold the edges of the membrane slightly to create a secure edge.
- Position a U-shaped peg over the membrane edge, ensuring it presses down onto the soil.
- Push the peg firmly into the ground until the U-shape is almost fully submerged, securing the fabric.
- Space pegs approximately every 30-50 cm (1-1.5 feet) along the edges and at intervals across larger areas for optimal stability.
Compatibility:
These pegs are designed for use with most standard weed control membranes, landscape fabrics, and geotextiles. They are best suited for installation in soil, mulch, or gravel beds. Avoid use in areas with significant underground obstructions.
Care:
These pegs are made of metal and are designed for outdoor use. To maintain their condition, periodically inspect them for excessive rust or damage. After use, they can be removed, cleaned of soil, and stored in a dry place for future seasons. If bent during installation, they may still be usable but with reduced holding power.
