The Ecoscape Forma Composite Decking Board is designed for homeowners and professional landscapers looking for a high-durability, low-maintenance outdoor surface that mimics the aesthetic of natural wood. Its primary benefit is a 1mm HDPE protective capping that prevents the warping, rotting, and staining common in traditional timber decking, though users should be aware that the multi-tonal surface requires specific attention during installation to ensure a consistent grain direction.

Forma boards are highly resistant to UV fading, though minor lightening may occur during the first few months of exposure as the product settles.
No. The Forma range is designed to be low-maintenance and the HDPE cap is not intended to hold paint or stain.
The product includes a 25-year guarantee, reflecting its designed long-term durability in typical outdoor conditions.
No, because the composite material does not contain organic timber fibers in a way that is susceptible to rot, it does not require chemical treatment.
While composite decking generally provides good grip, the board surface texture is designed to be slip-resistant, though standard safety precautions should be taken in icy or very wet conditions.
Yes, they can be cut using standard wood saws, though carbide-tipped blades are recommended for a cleaner cut and longer blade life.
Use a soft-bristled brush and warm soapy water to gently scrub along the grain of the board.
Check that the substructure support centers are spaced according to the official installation guide and that expansion gaps were allowed at board ends.
Installation of Forma decking should follow the Ecoscape specific installation guidelines, ensuring proper substructure spacing to account for thermal expansion and contraction. Compatibility is optimized when using Ecoscape-approved hidden fasteners to maintain a clean, surface-screw-free appearance. For care, simple cleaning is all that is required; occasional washing with warm, soapy water and a soft brush is sufficient to remove dirt and surface debris. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or pressure washers at extremely high settings, as these could potentially affect the finish of the HDPE cap.
