Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: Upon receiving the bike, it is recommended to have a professional bike mechanic perform the final assembly and safety checks. This includes proper installation of the wheels, handlebars, and pedals, as well as torqueing all bolts to specification. The suspension may require initial setup based on rider weight and preference, following guidelines from Fox Suspension. Ensure the Bosch system is fully charged before the first ride.
Compatibility: The bike utilizes a UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger), ensuring future compatibility with updated drivetrain standards. The Bosch system is integrated, meaning most components are proprietary. Tire clearance is designed for up to 2.5-inch tires, providing ample grip and comfort. The frame features internal cable routing for a clean aesthetic and protection.
Care: Regularly clean the bike, especially after riding in wet or muddy conditions. Pay special attention to the drivetrain, brakes, and suspension linkages. Use appropriate degreasers and lubricants for the chain and cassette. For the Bosch system, follow the manufacturer's guidelines for battery care and motor maintenance. Periodically check tire pressure and brake pad wear. The Kashima coating on the Fox suspension stanchions requires gentle cleaning with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive cleaners. Store the bike in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures.
