Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Safety First: Always ensure the mains power is switched off at the consumer unit (fuse box) before beginning any electrical work.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and inspect for any damage.
- Prepare Wiring: Connect the pendant light's wiring to your ceiling's electrical supply, following the instructions provided in the manual. This typically involves connecting Live, Neutral, and Earth wires. *It is highly recommended that a qualified electrician performs this installation.*
- Install Ceiling Plate: Secure the 34cm diameter ceiling plate firmly to your ceiling using appropriate screws and rawl plugs (not always included).
- Adjust Cable Length: Before final tightening, adjust the cable length to your desired height. This is usually done by feeding the cable through a mechanism in the ceiling rose. Ensure it's level and secure.
- Secure Pendant: Once the cable length is set, ensure all connections are tight and the pendant is hanging securely.
- Restore Power: Turn the mains power back on and test your new light fixture.
Compatibility
This pendant light is compatible with standard household electrical circuits (typically 220-240V). Aesthetically, its matte black finish and modern design complement contemporary, minimalist, and industrial interior styles.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the fixture, switch off the power. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to wipe down the metal and PVC surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish.
- Bulb Replacement: As this fixture features integrated LEDs, there are no bulbs to replace. The LEDs are designed to last for approximately 25,000 hours of use.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically check that the ceiling plate remains securely fastened and that the cable shows no signs of fraying or damage.
