Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Ensure wood surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old finishes. Lightly sand any rough patches with fine-grit sandpaper and wipe away dust.
Application: Apply the first coat thinly using a brush, lint-free cloth, or spray. Allow it to penetrate for 15-30 minutes, then wipe off any excess oil that has not been absorbed. Apply subsequent coats in the same manner, allowing adequate drying time between each layer (typically 4-6 hours, depending on conditions). Multiple thin coats are recommended over one thick coat for optimal durability and scratch resistance.
Compatibility: Suitable for all types of bare wood, including hardwoods and softwoods, for both interior and exterior applications. It can also be used over existing stains or oils, provided they are compatible.
Care: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. For sustained protection, reapply a thin coat of oil annually or as needed, especially for exterior items.
