Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
Your Junghans Max Bill Automatic watch is powered by your movement. Upon first receiving the watch, or if it has stopped, it may require manual winding to initiate the movement. Gently turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times until you feel slight resistance. This will provide an initial power reserve.
Compatibility:
This watch is designed for personal wear. The automatic movement is compatible with the natural motion of the wrist. Ensure the watch is worn regularly, ideally for at least 8-10 hours a day, to maintain consistent power.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and crystal gently with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials. For the strap, follow the specific care instructions for leather or metal.
- Winding: If the watch stops due to lack of wear, repeat the initial manual winding process. Continuous wear is the most effective way to keep it running.
- Water Resistance: Refer to the specific water resistance rating of your model. Avoid exposing the watch to water beyond its rated limit, and ensure the crown is pushed in or screwed down (if applicable) before exposure.
- Servicing: Automatic watches benefit from periodic servicing (typically every 3-5 years) by a qualified watchmaker to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of the movement.
