Product Information

Full details

This 13-piece Bosch Precision Screwdriver Set is designed for professionals and hobbyists who require high torque and precise control for fine screw applications. Its key benefit is the robust S2 steel construction, delivering over 40% higher torque than ISO standards, ensuring durability and performance. A notable caveat is its design for Japanese voltage (90-110 V) and plug types, requiring a voltage transformer for use in other regions. The set features slim, ergonomic handles with soft grips and rotating caps for efficient twirling, along with black magnetic tips for improved screw handling.

FAQs

What type of steel are the screwdriver bits made from?

The screwdriver bits are crafted from best-in-class, hard S2 steel.

How much torque can these screwdrivers deliver?

They deliver robust torque over 40% above the ISO standard for superior performance.

What is the purpose of the black magnetic tips?

The black magnetic tips enhance screw handling by providing a strong hold and improved visual contrast, helping to prevent dropped screws.

Can I use this set in the US (120 V)?

No, this set is designed for Japanese voltage (90-110 V). You will need a voltage transformer to use it safely in a 120 V region. A plug adapter alone is insufficient.

What types of applications is this set best suited for?

This set is ideal for fine screw applications on small electronic devices, glasses, laptops, watches, and other precision tasks.

How many screwdrivers are included in the set?

The set includes 13 precision screwdrivers with various bit types and sizes.

Does the set come with a case?

Yes, it comes with a handy fabric zipper bag for convenient and organized storage.

Troubleshooting

Screwdriver slips on screw head

Ensure you are using the correct bit size for the screw. Clean the screw head and the screwdriver tip of any debris. Apply firm, consistent pressure directly into the screw head.

Magnetic tip loses its strength

Clean the magnetic tip thoroughly with a dry cloth. Avoid exposing the tip to strong magnetic fields. If weakened, the magnetic force may naturally recover over time or with proper cleaning.

Handle feels uncomfortable during prolonged use

Take short breaks to rest your hand. Ensure your grip is relaxed but secure on the softgrip material. The rotating cap is designed for minimal finger pressure during rotation.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Exceptional torque strength due to high-quality S2 steel.
  • Ergonomic handle design enhances comfort and control during use.
  • Rotating cap facilitates quick and precise screw manipulation.
  • Magnetic tips improve screw stability and visibility.
  • Wide range of included bits for diverse precision tasks.
  • Compact and organized storage solution with the zipper bag.

Cons

  • Requires a voltage transformer for use outside of 90-110 V regions.
  • Primarily designed for fine-tuning and precision work, not heavy-duty tasks.
  • Japanese plug type (Type A or B) may require an adapter.
  • Only includes 13 specific bits; additional bit types may need to be sourced separately.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: This is a manual tool set and requires no electrical setup. Ensure all bits are firmly seated in the handle if they are interchangeable (though this set appears to have fixed bits). The fabric storage bag should be kept closed to prevent components from scattering.

Compatibility: The primary compatibility consideration is electrical. The product is designed for Japanese voltage specifications (90-110 V) and uses Japanese plug types (Type A or B). If you intend to use this product in a region with different voltage standards (e.g., 120 V or 220-240 V), a voltage transformer is mandatory to prevent damage or malfunction. A simple plug adapter will only change the physical plug shape and does not alter the voltage. This set is compatible with a wide range of small screws commonly found in electronics, eyewear, and watchmaking.

Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the bits and handle with a dry or slightly damp cloth after use. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  2. Storage: Store the set in its provided fabric zipper bag in a dry environment to prevent rust and keep all components organized.
  3. Bit Maintenance: Ensure bits remain clean and free from debris to maintain their magnetic properties and grip.
