Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the feeder is straightforward due to its lightweight nature. Simply attach a sturdy cord or metal hook to the pre-installed hanging point and mount it to a branch or dedicated feeding station at a height of at least 1.5 meters to protect birds from ground predators. For compatibility, the suet holder is sized for standard commercial suet cakes. To ensure long-term usage, clean the feeder every 2–4 weeks using a mild, bird-safe disinfectant. Since the feeder is made of wood, check for signs of dampness after heavy rain; if the wood becomes waterlogged, move the feeder to a more sheltered position until it dries completely. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that may leave residues harmful to visiting birds.
