Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before beginning, ensure the oven is completely disconnected from the power supply. You will generally need a screwdriver to remove the interior back plate of the oven. Inspect the old element for signs of breakage or blistering. Ensure the tags are fully pushed onto the existing electrical spade connectors; a loose connection can cause arcing and damage the wiring. This part is compatible with Kenwood models such as CK230, CK240, CK304, CK404, CK405, CK440, CK446, CK447, CK480, CK487, CK640, CK680, CK704, CK740, and CK780. Regular cleaning of the oven interior helps prevent grease buildup that can cause short circuits on the heating element tags.
