No, these baskets are strictly wipe clean only and should not be put in a washing machine.
As with any light-coloured fabric, the cream colour may show dirt more readily. Regular dusting and prompt cleaning of spills with a damp cloth are recommended.
The product description mentions a collection of knitted baskets and the possibility to 'mix and match colours for a colourful look,' suggesting other colours may exist within the Homescapes range, though not specified for this particular item.
While the material is OEKO-TEX® certified and safe, it is not designed for direct food storage and may not be hygienic. It is best used for household items like toys, magazines, or accessories.
The basket is made from thick and durable cotton, and the chunky knit design is intended to be robust for everyday use. However, avoid excessive pulling or snagging on the knit loops.
Gently reshape the basket by hand. If necessary, you can lightly stuff it with towels or blankets for a short period to help it regain its form.
Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to gently wipe the affected area. For stubborn stains, a very mild soap diluted in water may be used, followed by a clean damp cloth to remove residue. Ensure it dries completely.
Air out the basket in a well-ventilated area for a few days. The odour should dissipate naturally.
