Is the decorative outer pot included?

No, the plant is supplied in a standard 12cm nursery pot.

Is this plant safe for pets?

It is generally considered non-toxic, but it is always best to keep houseplants out of reach of curious pets.

Can I grow this plant outdoors?

It can be placed outdoors during warm, sunny months, but should be brought inside before temperatures drop.

Troubleshooting

Stems becoming long and leggy

The plant is not getting enough light; move it to a brighter, sunnier window.

Leaves turning soft or mushy

This is a sign of overwatering; allow the soil to dry completely and ensure the pot has proper drainage.

Leaves shriveling significantly

While drought-tolerant, extreme shriveling indicates it is time for a thorough watering.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Upon receiving your 12cm pot, place the plant in a spot that receives plenty of natural light. If you wish to repot the plant, use a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix to ensure the roots do not sit in excess moisture. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out entirely between sessions. During the winter months, reduce watering even further to mimic the plant's natural dormancy period. Ensure that any decorative outer container you choose has drainage holes to prevent water accumulation at the base, which can lead to root rot.
