Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve optimal results, remove any excess mud or debris from the garment before placing it in the washing machine. Ensure your machine's detergent drawer is clear of residue from traditional household detergents, as these can interfere with the re-proofing formula. After the wash cycle is complete, the treatment is not yet active. You must tumble dry the garment on a low-heat setting to set the DWR finish. If a tumble dryer is not available, you can use a cool iron or a hairdryer on a gentle setting to apply heat directly to the fabric surface. Always check the garment manufacturer's care label to ensure it can withstand these heat application methods.
