The ICY DOCK FatCage MB901SPR-B R1 is a dual bay RAID enclosure designed to hold two 2.5/3.5" SATA drives within a standard dual 5.25" PC bay. It features a built-in hardware RAID chipset for easy RAID 1 array creation without requiring special motherboards or controllers. The enclosure includes an advanced LED system for monitoring the RAID array without dedicated software. It utilizes the interchangeable EZ-Tray system for simple drive swapping, even while the computer is powered on, and is compatible with other Icy Dock products. Key features include support for two 2.5/3.5" SSD or HDD drives, installation into a standard dual 5.25" PC drive bay, and the EZ-Tray system for easy drive management. It incorporates a JMS562 hardware RAID chipset supporting RAID 1 and JBOD modes, along with comprehensive LED status indicators. Active Power Technology ensures the drive activity LED only illuminates when a drive is present. The enclosure supports SATA transfer speeds up to 6Gb/s and uses SATA 7-pin host and 2x 15-pin power inputs with locking latch cable support. Constructed with heavy-duty metal and ventilation for passive cooling, it also includes Anti-EMI & grounding technology to prevent electromagnetic interference.
