FAQs
Is this game suitable for children?
Yes, but due to the small size of the glass pebbles, it is recommended for children who are past the age of needing to avoid choking hazards, typically ages 6 and up.
Does it come with instructions?
Yes, the set includes basic rules to get you started with traditional Mancala gameplay.
What are the dimensions when folded?
The board folds in half, making it roughly 22.75cm in length when stored.
Can I replace the pebbles if I lose some?
While official replacement parts are not sold separately, standard decorative glass gems found at craft stores are generally compatible with the pit sizes.
Is the board made of real wood?
The Tobar Mancala set is crafted with a high-quality finish, ensuring a durable board that withstands frequent folding and gameplay.
Troubleshooting
The board does not stay closed.
Ensure that there are no stray pebbles caught between the board halves and that the magnetic latches are free from debris.
The board wobbles on a flat surface.
Check the hinge area for debris or unevenness; ensure the board is fully extended to its flat position.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the Tobar Mancala set is straightforward: unfold the board completely on a flat, stable surface until it lies level. Distribute the glass pebbles evenly among the pits according to the traditional game rules.
To care for your set:
- Storage: Always ensure the magnets are aligned when closing the board to prevent it from popping open.
- Cleaning: Wipe the wooden board with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid submerging the board in water, as this may warp the wood.
- Pebbles: Periodically inspect and wash the glass pebbles in warm, soapy water and dry them completely before returning them to the storage pouch or the game pits.
- Safety: Keep the glass pebbles in a secure container away from toddlers and pets.
