FAQs

What is the diameter of this hose?

The hose has a standard 4-inch diameter.

How long is the hose?

The hose is 6 meters in length.

What material is the hose made from?

It is constructed from durable PVC and aluminum for insulation.

Does it come with everything needed for installation?

Yes, the hose includes the necessary clips for installation.

Can this hose be used for condenser dryers?

No, this hose is specifically designed for vented tumble dryers only.

What should I do if the hose feels too stiff?

In cold conditions, the hose may become less flexible. Try warming it slightly with a hairdryer on a low setting (do not overheat) before attempting installation. Ensure it is not kinked during installation.

Troubleshooting

Hose is not fitting securely.

Ensure the correct size clips are used and tightened firmly. For a tighter seal, consider using additional hose clamps or appropriate sealing tape around the connection points.

Reduced drying efficiency or long drying times.

Check the hose for kinks, blockages (lint buildup), or leaks. Ensure the hose is not excessively long or bent sharply. Clean the dryer's lint filter.

Hose appears damaged or is leaking air.

Inspect the entire length of the hose for tears or holes. Replace the hose if significant damage is found. Ensure all connections are sealed.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Compatibility: This hose is designed for use with most standard vented tumble dryers. Verify your dryer's vent outlet diameter is 4 inches before purchase.

Setup:

  1. Ensure the tumble dryer is unplugged and cool.
  2. Detach the old vent hose from both the dryer and the wall vent.
  3. Attach one end of the new Spares2go hose to the dryer's vent outlet, securing it firmly with one of the provided clips.
  4. Attach the other end of the hose to the wall vent, again securing with a clip.
  5. Ensure the hose runs as straight as possible, avoiding sharp bends or kinks.

Care: Periodically inspect the hose for lint buildup, damage, or kinks. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the connections remain secure.
