The Elevate Baits Spicy Chorizo Pillows are designed for serious anglers looking to add a high-visibility, aromatic edge to their carp fishing setup. They are ideal for those who want a versatile, high-attraction hookbait that works as both a topper or a standalone presentation. FAQs

Can I use these on a Chod rig?

Yes, these pillows are buoyant enough for most Chod rig presentations, provided the hook size is matched correctly.

Does the pink color fade in water?

The high-quality pigments are designed to remain vibrant for extended periods in the water.

How many baits are in a pack?

The pack contains a generous mix of both 10mm and 12mm sizes for versatile rig building.

Are these effective in cold water?

Yes, the spicy scent profile is highly soluble, making it effective even in lower water temperatures.

Should I add extra glug to these?

While they come highly aromatic, you can certainly add extra glug if you wish to further intensify the scent for short, high-impact sessions.

Troubleshooting

Bait is not buoyant enough on the hair

Ensure you are using a light enough hook or remove a small amount of weight from the rig setup.

Bait slides off the hair during a cast

Use a dedicated bait stop or a bait screw to ensure the pillow remains secure on the hair.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-visibility pink color attracts fish in various water conditions
  • Versatile sizing (10mm and 12mm) in every pack
  • Complements the existing Elevate Baits Spicy Chorizo range
  • Effective as both a bait topper and a standalone hookbait

Cons

  • Limited to a single color option
  • May require counterbalancing depending on hook weight
  • Strong scent may persist on hands after handling

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To achieve the best results, use these pillows with standard hair rigs or bait screws. Because of their buoyancy, always test your rig in a bucket of water before casting to ensure the desired pop-up or wafter presentation is achieved.

  • Storage: Keep the container tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the potency of the spicy scent.
  • Handling: Use bait needles carefully to avoid splitting the pillow structure.
  • Compatibility: Perfectly pairs with the wider Elevate Baits Spicy Chorizo line, including glugs and groundbaits.
