The mesh is engineered with durable nylon and monofilament polyester that can adapt its weave to repair minor snags and tears over time as the horse moves. This helps maintain the rug's protective integrity.
It is recommended to hand wash the rug in cool water with a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry away from direct heat. Avoid machine washing or tumble drying.
Yes, the lightweight, breathable, and sun-shading properties make it ideal for extended periods of turnout. The secure fit and freedom of movement also support comfort during turnout.
Yes, a detachable neck cover is included, allowing you to adapt the level of protection based on your horse's needs and weather conditions.
This design allows for easy, one-handed fastening and distributes pressure across the chest and shoulders, significantly reducing the risk of rubbing and discomfort.
The patented two-part skirt creates a break in the hemline, relieving tension and allowing your horse greater freedom of movement, especially when grazing or rolling.
Yes, the fabric is naturally sun shading and provides protection against UV rays, which is beneficial for horses with sensitive skin or a history of sun-related issues.
Ensure all three belly straps are securely fastened and adjusted correctly. Check if the detachable central strap is in use and properly attached. Verify the front closure is correctly aligned.
Minor snags should heal over time with the horse's movement. For larger tears or damage, the self-healing mechanism may be less effective. Ensure the rug is clean and free from debris that could impede the mesh fibers.
Re-adjust the front NeoLock closure for a more comfortable fit, ensuring it's not too tight. Check that the rug is the correct size for your horse. Ensure the rug is clean, as dirt can cause friction.
Ensure the magnetic parts are clean and free from dirt or debris. Try aligning the magnets precisely. If persistent, consider a different closure method if available or seek assistance.
Setup: The LeMieux Kudos Gladiator Fly Rug is designed for straightforward application. Ensure the rug is correctly positioned over your horse. Fasten the 45° angled magnetic NeoLock front closure, which allows for one-handed operation. Secure the three-strap belly closure, utilizing the detachable central strap if needed for optimal fit and to help the rug self-right. Attach the detachable neck piece if full coverage is desired.
Compatibility: This fly rug is designed to fit a wide range of horse breeds and build types due to its adaptive fit technology. It is compatible with most standard tack and equipment.
Care: To maintain the integrity and self-healing properties of the mesh, hand washing is recommended. Use cool water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Allow the rug to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Avoid machine washing and tumble drying, as this can damage the specialized mesh and closure mechanisms.
