Product Information

Full details

The B&Q DLT707b 4.4m telescopic ladder is designed for both DIY enthusiasts and professional tradespeople who require a high-reach solution that doesn't sacrifice storage space. Its primary benefit is its extreme versatility, allowing users to switch between a straight extension ladder and an A-frame configuration in seconds to handle tasks like gutter cleaning or painting. A notable caveat is that while the ladder is highly portable, users must be diligent about ensuring all locking mechanisms are fully engaged before climbing to ensure maximum safety.

Troubleshooting

Ladder rungs are difficult to extend or retract

Clean the telescopic tubes with a dry cloth to remove debris or dust. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract more dirt.

Locking pins do not engage fully

Ensure the ladder is fully vertical and that the rung is pulled slightly beyond the locking point before allowing it to settle back into the locked position.

Ladder feels unstable

Check that the stabiliser bar is properly attached and that all four feet are making firm, level contact with the ground.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the ladder involves unlocking the safety catches and extending each section from the bottom up to your desired height. When collapsing, ensure your fingers are clear of the closing mechanisms to avoid pinching. For maintenance, keep the telescopic rungs free from grit, dirt, or paint, as these can interfere with the sliding mechanism. Periodically inspect the rubber non-slip feet for signs of wear and replace them if they no longer provide adequate grip. Always store the ladder in a dry environment to prevent corrosion and maintain the integrity of the locking pins.
