Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install this bottom bracket, ensure your frame shell is clean and properly chased for T47 threads. Apply a high-quality, waterproof grease to the frame threads before installing the bearing cups. You will need a 16-notch tool with a 48.5mm diameter fit to tighten the cups to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications. For care, avoid using high-pressure water sprayers directly at the bearing interface, as this can force contaminants past the X-Seal. Periodically check that the cups remain tight to the frame, and perform a spin test during your routine drivetrain cleaning to ensure the bearings remain free of grit.
