FAQs
What is the maximum weight the desk can support?
The Impulse Straight Desk is engineered to support a total weight of 135kg.
Does this desk come with drawers?
No, this is a standalone straight desk and does not include integrated storage drawers.
Can I use a dual-monitor arm with this desk?
Yes, the sturdy 25mm top and clamp-compatible design easily support most standard monitor arms.
How do I maintain the wood-effect finish?
The melamine finish is durable and heat-resistant. Simply wipe with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive water.
Are the feet adjustable for carpet?
Yes, the leveling feet can be adjusted to compensate for uneven floors or slight variations in carpet thickness.
Troubleshooting
Desk wobbles on floor
Adjust the leveling feet at the base of the panel end legs by rotating them until the desk is stable.
Difficulty attaching a screen clamp
Verify that your screen clamp is compatible with the 18mm modesty panel thickness and ensure there is enough clearance behind the panel.
Surface marks or scuffs
Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution to gently buff out surface scuffs; avoid abrasive sponges.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High weight capacity of 135kg
- Heat-resistant melamine surface
- Steel-to-steel fixings for increased durability
- Compatible with standard monitor arms and desk screens
Cons
- Design is strictly functional rather than aesthetic-focused
- Does not include integrated drawers or storage
- Requires assembly
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Assembly: Due to the steel-to-steel fixings, it is recommended to use a manual screwdriver to avoid overtightening during assembly. Ensure the desk is built on a flat surface to make leveling with the adjustable feet easier.
Compatibility: The desk is compatible with most clamp-on monitor arms and privacy screens. Ensure your clamp depth does not exceed the depth of the modesty panel clearance.
Care: The melamine finish is heat-resistant, but you should avoid using harsh chemical cleaners. Simply wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Use coasters for hot beverages to maintain the pristine condition of the finish.
