Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These scissors are ready for use straight out of the packaging. No assembly or setup is required.
Compatibility: Suitable for a wide range of materials commonly used in creative hobbies, including fabrics (cotton, silk, linen, synthetics), felt, paper, cardstock, and thin threads. They are not recommended for heavy-duty materials like thick leather, denim, or carpet.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the blades clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove any fabric fibers or residue. For tougher residue, a mild soap and water solution can be used, followed by thorough drying.
- Storage: Store the scissors in a dry place. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture. Keep the blades protected when not in use, perhaps with a blade cover if available, or by storing them in their original packaging or a designated tool case.
- Sharpening: Due to the precision grinding and micro-serration, these scissors are best maintained by professional sharpening if they ever become dull. Avoid using sharpening stones or machines designed for standard scissors, as this could damage the specialized blade.
