Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and transit bolts from the rear of the machine. Retain transit bolts for future transportation.
- Placement: Position the washer dryer on a firm, level surface. Ensure there's adequate space around the appliance for ventilation and access. Adjust the feet to ensure it is stable and level.
- Water Connection: Connect the water inlet hose(s) to a cold water tap. For models with hot water inlet, connect accordingly. Ensure connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Drainage: Securely connect the drain hose to a suitable drain pipe or standpipe, ensuring it's not kinked or obstructed.
- Power: Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet.
- First Use: Before the first laundry load, run an empty wash cycle (e.g., a short rinse cycle) without detergent to clean the drum and remove any manufacturing residues.
Compatibility
This appliance requires a standard electrical outlet and plumbing connections for cold water and drainage. For app connectivity, a smartphone with the hOn app installed and a stable Wi-Fi connection are needed.
Care and Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Clean the detergent dispenser drawer regularly to prevent residue buildup.
- Drum Maintenance: Occasionally run a hot maintenance wash cycle (e.g., a "Drum Clean" program if available, or a hot empty wash) to prevent odors and buildup.
- Filter Cleaning: Check and clean the drain pump filter regularly, typically every few months, to remove lint and small objects.
- Door Seal: Wipe the door seal after each use to prevent mold and mildew growth. Leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to allow air circulation.
- Descaling: In hard water areas, consider using a descaling product periodically as recommended by the manufacturer to prevent limescale buildup.
