The Moses basket is suitable from birth to a maximum weight of 9 kg, or until the baby begins to roll over, pull themselves up, or sit unaided.

Can I wash the entire Moses basket?

No, the wicker basket itself should only be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The fabric dressings (padded liner, coverlet) are removable and machine washable at 40 degrees.

Is the mattress included?

Yes, the basket comes complete with a firm, hypoallergenic fibre mattress and a padded liner.

Can I move the basket while my baby is sleeping inside?

It is not recommended to move the basket while your baby is inside. Always ensure the baby is removed before relocating the basket.

What safety standards does this Moses basket meet?

The Clair de Lune Moses Basket conforms to BS EN 1466: 2014 safety standards.

How do I secure the rocking stand?

The deluxe rocking stand features stoppers on the base that allow you to lock it into a stationary position. Release these stoppers to allow for rocking.

Can I use a blanket with the coverlet?

No, do not use the coverlet in combination with a sleep bag or blanket. Take into account the room temperature and the child's sleepwear to prevent overheating.

Troubleshooting

Basket seems unstable on the stand.

Ensure the basket is correctly positioned on the rocking stand and that the retaining bars are securely fastened around the basket's rim. Check that the rocking stand is on a level surface.

Fabric dressings have stains.

Remove the fabric dressings and machine wash them at 40 degrees as per care instructions. Allow them to air dry completely before reassembling.

Rocking stand wobbles.

Verify that the stoppers on the base of the stand are correctly engaged if you intend for it to be stationary. If the rocking function is desired and it still wobbles, ensure the stand is on a perfectly flat and even floor.
