While designed for wind reduction outdoors, the hairy windscreen can be used indoors if you are experiencing issues with air conditioning drafts or fan noise that might otherwise affect sensitive recordings. However, it's primarily optimized for external wind.

The AD-17 adapter provides a constant power supply to your Zoom H4essential recorder, allowing for longer recording sessions without the need to replace batteries, making it ideal for extended field use or studio work.

Connect the USB-C cable to the recorder's USB-C port and then to a USB port on your computer. Your computer should recognize the recorder as either a storage device for file transfer or as an audio interface, depending on the recorder's settings.

The padded shell case offers protection against dust, minor splashes, and impacts. It is not designed to be fully waterproof, so avoid submerging it in water.
