Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
Before installation, ensure your motherboard and CPU are compatible with DDR5 memory and specifically support the 5600MHz speed. Consult your motherboard's manual or manufacturer's website for a Qualified Vendor List (QVL).
Setup:
- Power Down: Completely shut down your computer and unplug the power cord.
- Ground Yourself: Touch a metal surface to discharge static electricity.
- Open Case: Remove the side panel of your computer case.
- Locate Slots: Identify the DIMM slots on your motherboard.
- Remove Old Module (if applicable): Release the clips on either side of the existing memory module and gently pull it out.
- Install New Module: Align the notch on the new memory module with the notch in the DIMM slot. Press down firmly on both ends of the module until the clips on the sides snap into place.
- Close Case & Power On: Reattach the side panel, plug in the power cord, and turn on your computer.
Care:
- Handle memory modules only by their edges to avoid touching the gold contacts.
- Store unused modules in an anti-static bag.
- Avoid exposing the module to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Ensure proper airflow within your PC case to prevent overheating.
