Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old wax polish. If necessary, clean the surface with a suitable Liberon wood cleaner.
Application: Apply a thin, even layer of Liberon Black Bison Fine Paste Wax using a clean, soft cloth or fine steel wool (grade 000 or 0000). Work the wax into the wood in the direction of the grain. For best results, apply to small areas at a time.
Drying: Allow the wax to dry for a minimum of 20 minutes. You can test if it is dry by buffing a small area; if it comes up to a sheen, it is ready.
Buffing: Once dry, buff the surface vigorously with a clean, soft cloth or a sheepskin buffing mitt to achieve a high shine.
Re-application: For heavily used surfaces or to build up a richer finish, apply further thin coats, allowing each to dry and buffing thoroughly.
Compatibility: Suitable for use on all types of wood, including those with lacquers and French polishes. It is also compatible with modern and antique furniture. Silicone free.
Care: To maintain the finish, regularly dust the surface. If necessary, clean with a slightly damp cloth and re-apply a thin coat of wax annually or as needed.
