The Westland Gro-Sure Smart Lawn Seed Fast Start is designed for homeowners and gardeners looking to quickly restore sparse or thin patches in their lawns with minimal ongoing maintenance. Its primary benefit is the innovative Aqua Gel coating, which optimizes hydration for rapid germination, though users should note that consistent soil preparation remains essential for achieving uniform coverage across larger areas.

Yes, this seed is suitable for new lawns, but it is specifically optimized for rapid establishment and patching.
Under ideal conditions with correct moisture and temperature, germination is rapid, often appearing within 10 to 14 days.
Yes, once the grass is established, it is perfectly safe for pets to use.
While the Aqua Gel retains water, it is recommended to keep the area moist through regular light watering during the first few weeks.
No, while it is cold-tolerant, it requires at least 7°C to germinate effectively.
One 3.2kg bag covers approximately 80m2 at the recommended application rate.
Verify that temperatures have remained above 7°C and that the soil has not dried out completely; monitor moisture levels regularly during the germination phase.
Ensure the seeds have been raked into the soil surface to improve contact; the Aqua Gel coating is visible, but burying it slightly helps ground it.
Proper site preparation is the foundation of a successful lawn. Ensure the soil is cleared of weeds and stones before application. Once sown, avoid walking on the treated area until the grass reaches a height of 5-8cm. When it is time for the first mow, ensure the mower blade is sharp and set to a high cut, removing only the tips of the grass blades. As the lawn matures, keep it healthy with occasional aeration and standard lawn feeding regimes to complement the initial fast-start growth.
