Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose paint, dirt, grease, and mildew. Lightly sand previously painted surfaces to ensure adhesion.
- Application: Apply with a brush or roller. Two coats are generally recommended for full coverage and durability. Allow sufficient drying time between coats (as per the product instructions).
Compatibility
Rust-Oleum Garden Paint is compatible with wood, brick, stone, plaster, and suitably primed rigid surfaces like metal and plastic. Avoid applying over surfaces that are not properly prepared or are incompatible with water-based paints.
Care
- Cleaning: Clean tools with water immediately after use.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect painted surfaces for any damage. Touch up as needed to maintain the finish. The paint provides up to 6 years before first maintenance.
- Storage: Store the paint in a cool, dry place and protect from freezing.
