Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Installation as stair treads typically involves securing them to existing stair bases, often with appropriate adhesives or fasteners suitable for wood. When used as window sills, they can be mounted using brackets or adhesive strips, depending on the wall and desired stability. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and level before installation.
Compatibility:
These treads are designed for use with standard stair structures. Compatibility as window sills depends on the dimensions of the window frame and the weight the structure can support. They are suitable for interior use.
Care:
To maintain the appearance and longevity of the oak, clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the fine sanded finish. For tougher spots, use a mild soap solution and wipe dry immediately. Protect from excessive moisture or direct prolonged sunlight, which can cause warping or fading.
