FAQs

What is the primary function of the FloPlast Half Round Union Bracket?

To connect two lengths of FloPlast 115mm half-round guttering, creating a watertight seal.

What type of buildings is this bracket suitable for?

Buildings with large or steep roofs, which require high-capacity guttering systems.

How do I install the gutter into the union bracket?

Attach the back edge of the gutter first, then pull the front edge down until the clip snaps into position.

How is a watertight seal achieved?

The downward pressure of the clips compresses the rubber seal evenly around the gutter.

What should I do if the gutter sections are leaking?

Check the positioning of the gutter sections within the union and ensure the seal is properly compressed and free from debris.

What tools are needed for installation?

Countersunk screws and a screwdriver are required to attach the union bracket to the fascia board.

What is the purpose of the insertion marks on the union bracket?

To indicate the correct gutter positioning, ensuring the seal maintains full contact as the gutter expands and contracts with temperature changes.

Troubleshooting

Gutter sections are leaking at the union.

Ensure the gutter sections are correctly positioned within the union bracket, following the insertion marks. Check that the seal is properly compressed and that there are no obstructions.

The gutter is not securely attached to the bracket.

Make sure that both the front and back edges of the gutter are properly clipped into place. Verify that the bracket is correctly attached to the fascia board with screws.
