Yes, this is a fully hardy outdoor variety and does not need to be moved indoors during winter.
Ellison's Orange is a self-fertile variety, but it will generally produce a heavier crop if a pollination partner of a different variety is nearby.
While these can be planted throughout the year, autumn and spring are considered the ideal windows for root establishment.
Especially in the first year, keep the soil consistently moist. Potted trees require more frequent watering than those in the ground.
The 12-litre pot is for transit only. You should transplant it into the ground or a much larger container (100 litres+) as soon as possible.
This is often due to transplant shock or lack of water after transit; ensure the soil is kept consistently moist but not waterlogged.
Stake the tree firmly using a tree tie and stake to prevent wind rock, which can damage new, delicate root growth.
