Verify that your specific pen model is not in the excluded list (pico, agenda, etc.) and ensure no fragments of the old refill remain inside the barrel.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install the M16 refill, simply unscrew the barrel of your compatible LAMY ballpoint pen, remove the empty refill, and insert the M16. The refill measures 106mm in length and 6mm in diameter. Compatibility is broad, covering most standard LAMY pens; however, do not attempt to force the refill into incompatible models like the LAMY pico, agenda, pickup, scribble, spirit, or any multipen as this may damage the internal mechanism. Keep the pen stored at room temperature to preserve ink viscosity.
