Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Preparation: Gather the knife rack, the included fixings, a level, a pencil, and a drill.
- Marking: Position the rack on the desired wall location, and use a level to ensure it's straight. Mark the screw hole positions with a pencil.
- Drilling: Drill holes at the marked positions, ensuring they are the correct size for the fixings provided.
- Mounting: Insert the fixings into the drilled holes. Align the knife rack with the fixings and secure it with screws.
Compatibility
The Rockingham Forge Magnetic Knife Rack is compatible with most standard kitchen knives. Ensure that the blades are made of a ferrous metal (able to be attracted to magnets). The rack's dimensions (46 x 2 x 6 cms) should be suitable for your wall space. Always check the weight capacity of your wall and mounting hardware. The rack is not suitable for ceramic knives.
Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the granite surface with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Knife Placement: Ensure the knife blades are clean and dry before placing them on the rack to prevent rust.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the screws to ensure they are secure. Inspect the rack periodically for any signs of damage.
