Product Information

Full details

The MAXAM PURA+ Quick Mould Eliminator Wipes are designed for homeowners and renters looking to maintain a mould-free living environment without the use of harsh, caustic chemicals. These wipes offer the dual benefit of immediate stain removal and the creation of a long-lasting barrier to deter future growth. While they are highly effective for routine maintenance and interior surfaces, they are not intended for deep, structural mould remediation within wall cavities or extensive black mould infestations that require professional intervention.

FAQs

Are these wipes safe for my cat or dog?

Yes, the formula is non-toxic and bleach-free, making it safe for use in households with pets.

Can I use these on clothing?

No, these are intended for hard interior surfaces such as walls, tiles, and windows. They are not designed for fabrics.

Do I need to rinse the surface after wiping?

No, you do not need to rinse. The formula is designed to stay on the surface to provide a protective barrier.

Will these remove black mould permanently?

They will remove visible surface mould, but permanent removal depends on fixing the moisture source causing the growth.

Can I use these on stainless steel?

Yes, they are generally safe for non-porous surfaces like stainless steel, but test a small area first to ensure the texture does not leave marks.

Troubleshooting

Wipes are drying out in the pack

Ensure the dispenser lid is snapped shut completely after each use. Store the pack upside down to allow moisture to redistribute to the top wipes.

Mould returns shortly after cleaning

The wipes treat surface mould; if it returns quickly, there is likely an underlying moisture or ventilation issue in the room that must be addressed.

Stains are not coming off

For stubborn or long-term stains, let the wipe sit on the area for a minute to allow the solution to penetrate before scrubbing lightly.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Chlorine-free and bleach-free formulation
Leaves a protective barrier to prevent regrowth
Safe for use around pets and children
No strong chemical odors during or after use
Effective on a wide range of interior surfaces

May require more effort on old, deeply embedded stains

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These wipes are ready-to-use straight from the packaging; no preparation or dilution is required.

Compatibility:

Always test a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on porous surfaces or delicate paints, to ensure the semi-abrasive texture does not alter the finish.
Safe for tiles, finished wood, glass, and standard interior wall paints.

Care:

Keep the pack lid tightly sealed between uses to prevent the remaining wipes from drying out.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the active formula.
Dispose of used wipes in the trash; do not flush them down the toilet.
