This feeler gauge is primarily used for measuring clearances and tolerances in engines, particularly in OHC (Overhead Camshaft) configurations.
The feeler gauge provides both Imperial (inches) and Metric (millimeters) measurements.
The offset refers to the angled tips of the blades, which are designed to reach and measure in areas where straight blades cannot fit, especially in OHC engines.
The blades range in size from 0.008" to 0.026" (0.203 to 0.660mm).
Wipe the blades clean after each use with a clean, dry cloth to remove any oil, grease, or debris.
Yes, it comes with a lifetime guarantee.
While it's suitable for many engines, its offset design is especially useful for OHC engines. Always check the engine's service manual to ensure compatibility.
Store the feeler gauge in its protective case or a clean, dry location to prevent damage and corrosion.
Ensure you are using the correct blade size for the measurement. Refer to the engine's service manual for the proper gap specifications.
Make sure the blades are clean and free of debris. Check for any damage to the blades that could affect the measurement. Replace the gauge if necessary.
The offset blades can be tricky. Try different angles to find the best approach. Ensure the engine components are correctly aligned.
No specific setup is required; the feeler gauge is ready to use upon arrival.
*Compatibility:*
This gauge is compatible with any application that requires measuring gaps, particularly those in OHC engine configurations. Ensure the blade size range meets your specific needs. It's designed to work with most engines. Check your engine's service manual for specific tolerance specifications.
