Full details

This is a brand new Shimano BB-5500 105 MTB / Road Bike Bottom Bracket. It is a splined bottom bracket designed for use with Shimano road Octalink cranksets. The bottom bracket features an oversized BB spindle with a large 22 mm diameter chrome-moly hollow pipe billet spindle that reduces weight and increases strength and rigidity. The Octalink splined axle/crank arm interface results in a more rigid crank assembly compared to a square tapered spindle. It has a maintenance-free sealed cartridge design that prevents corrosion and is easy to install. The adapter is made of aluminum and it has a 68mm English Thread.
