The FireAngel SB5-INT is an optical smoke alarm designed for early warning detection of fires. Its optical sensing chamber effectively detects slow-burning fires that produce thick smoke. The alarm features a toast-proof design, minimizing false alarms caused by cooking fumes. It includes a convenient Test/Hush button; pressing it briefly verifies the alarm's functionality, while holding it for five seconds silences a false alarm. The unit is powered by a replaceable 9V battery with a 5-year lifespan. When the battery is low, the device will chirp, and a red LED will flash every 32 seconds, indicating the need for replacement. Installation is simplified with a removable base plate and included screws for ceiling mounting. The alarm attaches to the base plate by pushing and twisting it clockwise. Item dimensions are 8.9cm (height) x 8.9cm (length) x 3.6cm (width).
