The V&A Chikan Cushion is an ideal choice for interior design enthusiasts who appreciate historical craftsmanship and textile art. Drawing inspiration from 19th-century Bengali chikankari embroidery, this cushion offers a sophisticated aesthetic upgrade to any living room or bedroom. While its vibrant teal blue finish serves as a striking accent piece, users should note that the 45x45cm size is tailored for standard decorative pillows, which may not provide the full back support required for primary seating furniture.

This product listing refers to the cushion cover; please check your specific purchase details to see if an insert is included.
Always wash inside-out using a color-safe detergent and avoid direct sunlight when air drying to prevent UV bleaching.
Ensure you are using a plump 45x45cm feather or down-alternative insert; consider a 50x50cm insert for a fuller, 'karate-chopped' aesthetic.
To prepare your cushion for use, ensure you select a 45x45cm or slightly larger insert to fill the cover appropriately. If the fabric appears wrinkled upon arrival, a light steam or low-heat iron setting can be used to smooth out the surface. For cleaning, machine wash on a delicate cycle using cold water to preserve the depth of the teal color. Air drying is recommended to maintain the fabric's integrity, though tumble drying on a very low heat setting may be used if the care tag specifications are followed.
