FAQs
What is the weight and height limit for the Cosatto Acorn i-Size seat?
The seat accommodates children from birth (40cm) up to approximately 12 years, or until they reach the maximum height limit for i-Size (typically around 150cm, depending on the specific seat's configuration and regulations).
Can I use the seats in different cars?
Yes, each seat can be used in any i-Size compatible vehicle. However, if you wish to use both seats simultaneously in different cars, you will need to purchase an additional i-Size base for the second seat.
How do I clean the Cosatto Acorn seat covers?
The covers are typically machine washable on a delicate cycle. Always check the specific care label attached to the covers for detailed washing instructions.
Is the rotation feature available in all modes (rearward and forward-facing)?
Yes, the 360-degree rotation is designed to function in both rearward and forward-facing positions for maximum convenience.
What does 'i-Size' mean for safety?
i-Size is the latest European safety standard (ECE R129) for car seats. It mandates rearward-facing travel for longer, requires ISOFIX installation, and uses the child's height for fitting, leading to improved safety and fewer installation errors.
What is included in the Family Bundle?
The Family Bundle typically includes one i-Size rotating base and two Acorn i-Size car seats, providing a complete solution for multiple children or future needs.
Troubleshooting
Seat base not installing securely.
Verify that ISOFIX points are correctly engaged and the top tether is taut. Consult your vehicle's manual and the product instructions.
Rotation mechanism is stiff or not engaging.
Ensure no obstructions are present around the base or seat. Check that the seat is correctly aligned on the base before attempting to rotate.
Harness is difficult to adjust.
Ensure the harness straps are not twisted and that the release buckle is fully depressed. Check for any debris caught in the adjustment mechanism.
Child appears uncomfortable.
Re-adjust the harness height and tightness. Ensure appropriate padding and inserts are used for the child's age and size.
