Product Information
Full details
The Alan Symonds Chair Pad - Tropical is designed for anyone looking to enhance the comfort, durability, and style of their outdoor seating. Its key benefit is providing a soft, supportive, and water-repellent cushion that withstands the elements. A minor caveat is that while water-repellent, it is not fully waterproof, so prolonged exposure to heavy rain may still affect the foam. This chair pad features premium 40mm foam cushioning, fade-resistant fabric, spill and stain resistance, and a removable, washable cover for easy maintenance.

FAQs
How do I clean the chair pad?
The cover is removable and machine washable in cold water on a gentle cycle. Air dry or tumble dry on low. The foam insert should be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, and allowed to air dry completely.
Is the chair pad completely waterproof?
The chair pad features water-repellent fabric, meaning it will resist light rain and spills by causing water to bead up. However, it is not fully waterproof, and prolonged exposure to heavy rain may cause some moisture to penetrate.
What are the dimensions of the chair pad?
The dimensions are approximately H: 5cm x W: 42cm x D: 95cm.
How does the pad stay in place?
The pad is equipped with corner ties and a back fixing strap to securely attach it to most standard chairs.
Will the colors fade in the sun?
The chair pad is designed with fade-resistant quality, meaning the colors are intended to withstand sun exposure and maintain their vibrancy over time.
Can I use this chair pad indoors?
While designed for outdoor use, the chair pad can certainly be used indoors to add comfort and style to any chair.
What is the weight of the chair pad?
The chair pad weighs approximately 0.7 kg.
Troubleshooting
Chair pad is not staying securely in place.
Ensure all corner ties and the back fixing strap are firmly tied or fastened around the chair structure. Check that the pad is correctly positioned on the chair.
Stains are visible on the fabric.
For fresh spills, blot immediately with a clean cloth. If a stain persists, remove the cover and wash according to care instructions. For stubborn stains on the foam, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry.
Fabric feels damp after light rain.
The fabric is water-repellent, not waterproof. Light moisture should bead off, but prolonged exposure may cause slight dampness. Ensure the pad is exposed to air to dry naturally. A quick wipe with a dry cloth can help.
Cover is difficult to remove or put back on.
Ensure the zipper is fully open before attempting to remove the cover. When re-covering, align the zipper carefully and work it slowly around the edges.
