The YouGarden Crocodile Fern is an ideal choice for houseplant enthusiasts looking for a low-maintenance, visually striking addition to humid indoor environments like bathrooms or kitchens. Its defining feature is the exotic, textured foliage that mimics crocodile skin, providing a unique architectural element to your home decor. While it is a fast-growing and resilient species, it requires consistent moisture and humidity levels to thrive, meaning it may struggle in particularly dry or arid indoor climates without supplemental care.

No, it prefers dappled shade or bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the delicate leaves.
Water whenever the top layer of soil feels dry. The goal is to keep the soil consistently moist but not soaking wet.
While generally non-toxic, it is always best practice to keep all indoor plants out of reach of curious pets to prevent digestive upset.
Ferns require some natural light to thrive. If your room has no windows, consider using a full-spectrum LED grow light.
In its 12cm pot, it is a manageable size for desktops or shelves, but it will grow larger over time as it matures.
A balanced, water-soluble fertilizer applied at half-strength during the growing season (spring and summer) is sufficient.
This is a sign of low humidity. Increase misting frequency or place the pot on a pebble tray filled with water.
Usually caused by overwatering. Ensure the soil is well-draining and allow the top inch to dry slightly before the next watering.
The plant is likely not receiving enough light. Move it to a brighter location with indirect sunlight.
Upon arrival, allow your Crocodile Fern to acclimate to your home's light levels for a few days before repotting. When you do repot, use a high-quality, well-draining indoor potting mix to prevent waterlogging. Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Regular misting is encouraged, especially during winter months when indoor heating dries out the air. Keep the plant away from cold drafts and direct heat sources like radiators, as these can cause the delicate, textured fronds to turn brown or crispy at the edges.
