FAQs

Can this arch be used on a patio?

Yes, but you will need to utilize the wall-mount configuration if you cannot anchor it into the ground.

Is the finish resistant to salt air?

The powder-coated finish provides significant protection, but in coastal areas, we recommend an occasional fresh-water rinse to remove salt build-up.

Can I leave the trellis outside during winter?

Yes, the metal is designed for year-round outdoor use; however, removing heavy vines during the winter can prevent excessive stress on the structure during high winds.

What is the weight capacity of the arch?

It is designed to support the natural growth weight of climbing plants. Avoid hanging heavy equipment or bird feeders exceeding 5 lbs from the top bar.

Are the tools for assembly included?

Basic assembly hardware is included, but we recommend having a screwdriver and a rubber mallet on hand to assist with the process.

Troubleshooting

The arch feels unstable after installation.

Ensure the ground spikes are driven to their full depth. If the ground is too soft, consider using additional ballast or a stone base for support.

Difficulty aligning the screws during assembly.

Do not fully tighten the screws until the entire section is aligned. Once all components are in place, go back and tighten everything firmly.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Versatile assembly options allow for creative customization
Durable, weather-resistant powder-coated finish
Suitable for both professional event decor and home gardening
Provides secure anchoring options for stability in wind

Cons

Requires significant assembly time for complex configurations
Metal may become hot to the touch in direct sunlight
Requires periodic checks of connections to ensure structural integrity over time

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin setup, lay out all components on a flat surface to identify the half-arch segments. Use the provided screws to join the metal pipes securely. If installing in soil, use a rubber mallet to gently tap the pointed ends into the ground to avoid damaging the powder coating. For wall mounting, ensure the surface is flat and use appropriate masonry fasteners if necessary. To maintain the product, wipe down the metal frame with a damp cloth at the beginning of each season. If any scratches appear in the powder coating, apply a touch-up outdoor metal paint to prevent localized rusting.
