FAQs

Is this duvet suitable for allergy sufferers?

Yes, the duvet is filled with hypoallergenic Smartfil fibres, which are designed to be kind to those with common bedding allergies.

Can I use a traditional duvet cover with this product?

The product is designed to be used coverless. Adding a standard cover may not fit correctly and defeats the convenience of the design.

How do I wash the duvet?

Place the entire duvet directly into your washing machine on a gentle cycle. It is designed to be fully washable.

What does 6 tog mean?

A 6 tog rating indicates a lightweight level of warmth, making it ideal for warmer nights and the spring/summer transition period.

Is the material soft to the touch?

Yes, the duvet features a soft-touch microfibre finish designed for comfort against the skin.

Troubleshooting

Duvet feels flat after storage

Give the duvet a firm shake or tumble dry on a low heat setting for a few minutes to re-fluff the Smartfil fibres.

Washing machine won't fit the duvet

Ensure you are using a high-capacity drum. If your machine is too small, take the duvet to a local laundromat with industrial-sized machines.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Eliminates the struggle of fitting and removing duvet covers
Hypoallergenic filling suitable for sensitive sleepers
Extremely fast drying time of 90 minutes
Soft-touch microfibre finish for comfort
Includes matching pillowcases for a coordinated aesthetic

Cons

Design cannot be changed since it is a single-unit coverless system
6 tog rating is best suited for spring and summer rather than deep winter
Larger sizes may require a high-capacity washing machine

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up your Night Lark duvet is simple: remove it from the packaging, give it a quick shake to distribute the Smartfil fibres, and place it on your bed. Because it is a coverless design, there is no need to struggle with internal corner ties or zipper enclosures.

For care, check your washing machine’s weight capacity before laundering, especially for larger sizes like Super King. Use a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Due to the quick-dry fabric technology, you can air dry the duvet or use a low-heat tumble dry setting. Always store it in the provided reusable storage bag in a cool, dry place to keep the fibres fresh and dust-free during off-seasons.
