FAQs
Is this wallpaper suitable for bathrooms?
While it is extra washable, it is not designed for areas with direct water contact or high steam; avoid use in bathrooms or kitchens with limited ventilation.
How many rolls do I need?
Each roll is 10.05m long and 53cm wide. Measure your wall area in square meters and divide by 5.3, then add 10% for wastage and pattern matching.
Can I remove this paper later?
Yes, as it is a high-quality non-woven wallpaper, it is generally strippable when you are ready for a change.
Does the wallpaper come with paste?
No, you will need to purchase a standard non-woven wallpaper paste separately.
What is a straight pattern match?
A straight match means the pattern on one strip of wallpaper is aligned horizontally with the pattern on the next strip.
Troubleshooting
Visible seams between drops
Ensure that the wall surface is properly prepped and primed; use a seam roller carefully to ensure the edges are flush without crushing the texture.
Air bubbles remaining after hanging
Gently lift the affected area and re-smooth, or use a fine needle to pierce the bubble and press the air out.
Pattern alignment is off
Re-check the 26.5cm pattern repeat measurement before cutting each subsequent drop to ensure the crocodile scales match across seams.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-end aesthetic adds immediate depth and character to interiors
- Non-woven material is durable and easy to handle
- Paste-the-wall technology reduces mess and setup time
- Extra washable finish is ideal for residential longevity
Cons
- Requires precise alignment due to the specific crocodile pattern repeat
- Dark color scheme may require more ambient lighting to avoid shrinking a space
- Statement design may be overpowering if used on all four walls
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install this wallpaper, ensure your walls are clean, dry, and smooth. Use a high-quality, professional-grade adhesive suitable for non-woven wallpaper. Because this is a 'paste-the-wall' product, you apply the paste directly to the wall rather than the back of the paper. Use a sharp utility knife for trimming edges, and always use a soft plastic smoother to work out bubbles from the center outward to avoid damaging the texture. For care, avoid harsh chemicals; a gentle wipe with a soft, damp cloth is sufficient to keep the surface clean. For longevity, avoid direct, prolonged exposure to harsh UV rays to keep the color depth pristine.
